Welcome to the Northern Foragers Club (NFC) blog. I am a second generation food blogger revamping and rewriting my mother's early aughts blog, One Whole Clove. I am eager to share my adventures in and around Quebec and North American forests. I will feature boreal forests, North American eating, restaurants, fresh markets, and apparel but who knows what other northern landscape I may cover.
Where I am from
I was born and live in the province of Quebec in Canada. Quebec has a rich cultural history, which I plan to share and celebrate in his blog. Quebec is the only Canadian province where French is predominantly spoken. I speak both French and English fluently although my schooling is in French.
Where I plan to go and what I plan to cover
I am very keen to travel. Like many, I have a bucket list of exotic destinations. I will cover my travel in the northern hemisphere, with my base being Quebec. I also intend to share any relevant observations from other destinations. This journey will be years in the making and I am so excited to start.
My inspiration
My mother started this blog many years before I was born and was one of the first food bloggers! I enjoy nature. I am very adventurous in all things culinary. Through my father I grew up in the culinary world trying new and exciting foods. All this makes me an excellent candidate to continue where my mother left off.
And so it begins...
